“A New Path To Walk” … my next steps
I’m excited for this new season in my life that I’m about to WALK into. As I look back through the past 15 years of my professional life, I have to ask myself a few things, “what does it all mean” – “what have I been preparing for” – “am I making a difference?”
I’ve never really been one that wanted to be in a professional position that was only about a paycheck at the end of the day for some weird reason. The positions have always had to have real meaning and purpose to them, or I just wasn’t very passionate about pursuing them. This outlook on this part of my life has lead me to some very purposeful companies and organizations, as well as many amazing people over the years. Now, as of today, I am about to add yet another amazing organization to the list, Food for the Hungry. I have
officially joined the Artist Program, a program within the 2,000 + employees world wide, and am now holding up shop in the Historic Downtown Franklin, TN office. I’m so excited that now my history as a full time missionary in my early 20′s with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and the past 15 years in the music business are finally going to collide in an extremely purposeful way!
Food for the Hungry was founded in 1971 and gave birth to the ministry now at work in more than 26 countries worldwide. Since then, Food for the Hungry has boldly spoken out for and served the poor, sending courageous heroes to help communities transform themselves. Founder Dr. Larry Ward held to the simple premise that “they die one at a time, and so we can help them one at a time.” Again and again, we turn to the words from Scripture from which our name emerged, “He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry,” Psalm 146:7. Below is a quick video to check out that will sum it all up!

THE FH ARTIST TEAM – Franklin, TN
Ben Greene – Director of Artist Program:: Ben has one of the best reputations in Nashville and throughout the world, as he has had the opportunity to serve with some of the most influential ministries, one including World Vision, and is now the Director of the Artist Program for Food for the Hungry.
Crystal Hutchinson – Artist Relations :: I have known Crystal for over a year now and already feel like she’s a true sister to me. What is funny is that over the past weeks of planning for the start date with FH, I’ve heard two others comment about her as Food for the Hungry’s very own – Mother Teresa! {smirk}. I can definitely see the heart for serving people that she has, especially those in serious need throughout the world.
Paige Orth :: For the little time that I’ve known Paige, although each person in the office is very well put together, she is huge part of this office in regards to numbers, contracts and logistics. She takes her job very seriously, and is poised and professional and a great asset to the team.
Todd Collins – Artist Relations / Team FH:: Todd started out mainly focusing on the artist department, and still does, but has currently increased focus on Team FH, a department that will mobilize a community of athletes all over the world that want to make a difference with their drive and abilities through organized races and gatherings. Todd has more heart and overall energy than most small countries. I’m not only honored call this guy a close friend and triathlon training partner, but now a partner in ministry.
I’m extremely honored to join this team and organization and all involved in the near future, but most of all, I’m excited for this new path that God is sending me and my family to WALK.
